フラフープを始めたキッカケ

フラフープを始めたキッカケは、自分のパートナーでもあり、TOKYOMADEのパートナーでもあるDEANNEが最初にYOUTUBEなどの映像を発見して興味を持ち始め、東京でレッスンを受け始めたのが最初のキッカケ。そのクラスに僕も見学に行き、そこでまずJUSTINとMARIOに出会う。彼らは、日本で初めてのフープのインストラクター。アメリカで勉強してライセンスを取り、東京でフープのスクールを始めました。
そして彼らが僕に今日本のフープ人口は約２０人くらいだという事を教えてくれて、その言葉を聞いた瞬間から『これやるしかない！』みたいな気持ちになったので始める事にしました。
しかもあまり男性の人口も多くないのでさらに燃えています。
今週末は、２回目のレッスン。かなり楽しみ！！

It is all about the hoop

Hey Deanne and Masao here in Tokyo. You may know us from sushi zume or TOKYOMADE. Is there a limit to the number of online spaces allowed? I am sure we are no where near the limit yet but here we are taking up another space. This blog, however will be a personal one. A look at us and our hoops, hooping in Tokyo and possibly a whole lot of hooping in general.

In the short time that we have been studying hoop dance we have seen major changes in our mind and body and the totally cool things we can do with our gorgeous hoops. We are merely beginners and yet we have so much to share already. This blog will act as a record of our progress and we hope as a place for other hoopers and friends to share their ideas and comments.

Hooping is comparatively not very popular here in Japan, but it is starting to spread and we hope to help it. Tokyo Hoop Stars is our little way of connecting with the rest of the hooping world and expanding hoop dance within Japan.

We would love to hear from you especially if you have some tips, stories or comments about your own hooping adventures. If you have a hooping video, blog post or story that you would like to share we would love to hear from you and hopefully put it up on this blog to share with others.
